After an extraordinary career spanning five decades, we bid a heartfelt farewell to Steve Jones, who is retiring after 50 years of dedicated service with CF Roberts.

Steve began his journey with the company in 1972, starting as an apprentice electrician. Through hard work, commitment, and an unwavering passion for the trade, he progressed to become a fully qualified electrician before taking the next step into management. Steve eventually became the Branch Manager of our Hereford office, where he continued to lead by example and play a pivotal role in the success of the region.

What makes Steve’s story truly unique is that he holds the distinction of being the only person in the company’s history to have worked under all three generations of the Roberts family – Cyril, Michael, and Paul. This remarkable connection not only highlights his longevity but also reflects the trust, respect, and admiration he has earned throughout his career. Throughout his 50 years, Steve has been a model of dedication, professionalism, and integrity.

His leadership, technical knowledge, and calm considered approach have left a lasting legacy, not just in Hereford but across the wider business. Colleagues have looked up to him as a mentor, a role model, and a true ambassador for the CF Roberts values. We thank Steve for his exceptional service, loyalty, and contribution to our continued growth and success. He leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered for many years to come.
