We’re thrilled to announce that CF Roberts rowed their way to victory at the 2025 Gloucester Dragon Boat Race, held at the historic Gloucester Docks on Sunday 18th May.

The annual event, organised by the Rotary Club of Gloucester Severn, took place with a total of 16 teams, including winners for the last 3 years, Safran, as well as multiple local gym groups, running clubs and other hopefuls. All vying to see who could take home the trophy this year.

With barely any prep time, our team came together with power, precision and a bit of prayer to cross the finish line first in every single race: three heats, a semi-final, and the grand finale. Five races. Five wins! And quite a bit of sweat.

CF Roberts were proud to be presented with the winning trophy and the coveted Gloucester Dragon Boat Shield, which will be displayed in our head office in Cheltenham.

But it wasn’t just about the glory (well, mostly). The event raised vital funds for local charities, including headline charity partner, Young Gloucestershire, which supports thousands of children and young people in the county to overcome challenges and take control of their future. We’re proud to say that we were part of something bigger than just winning it’s helping the community, that’s a win-win.
