Case study

Marriott Manchester

Our hotel division have been involved in the refurbishment programme at the 338 bedroom Marriott Hotel in Manchester.  Refurbished spaces included bedrooms and communal areas such as meeting rooms, gym, great room, restaurant and ball room, bringing all up to the new Marriot branding specification.

Bedroom refurbishment consisted of modification to existing electrical services to suit the new bedroom and corridor layout.   New data cabling has been installed radially wired to each bedroom for the new smart TV and Mini-bar services along with a new guest room management system to each bedroom to optimise energy efficiency of each room.

The refurbishment of communal areas included adaptations to existing wiring and areas of new build to suit the new design scheme.  A new MODE lighting system installed throughout the communal areas to allow the dimming of lighting circuits with automated scene settings. Pride of place was new LED lighting in the entrance area allowing the Marriott to change accent lighting and show their support of the LGBTQ+ community.

Mechanical services included new ventilation and air conditioning to all communal areas.  Air conditioning supplied as new for all the bedrooms with ventilation retained and reused. Sanitaryware replaced throughout and a new fully integrated Building Management System was also provided.
