Case study

St. James’s Place Phase II

This fantastic project was the construction of a new 50,000 sq ft office development to meet the expansion requirements of St. James’s Place Wealth Management at their Headquarters in Cirencester.

St. James’s Place, a FTSE 100 company with over £45 billion of client funds under management, needed new office accommodation for 450 employees. Constructed on the site of the old Bridges Garage, Cirencester, and next to their existing Phase I development, the offices are located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

Due to its location in an AONB, sustainability and the selection of high-quality natural materials were overriding considerations. We were responsible for the entire Cat A and Cat B design, detailing, supply, installation testing and commissioning of the complete Electrical, Mechanical and Public Health services over three office floors, a two-storey car park and a rooftop plant space.

Now an eye catching and impressive addition to the town, St. James’s Place Phase II won a BCO Award as an outstanding Corporate Workplace and was praised by the judges as “a modern, contemporary, workplace that fits comfortably into the traditional streetscape of a Cotswold town”.
